Worldline a déjà traité plus d’un milliard de paiements électroniques en Belgique au premier semestre 2019

Bruxelles, le 18 juin 2019 — Les Belges paient de plus en plus leurs achats par voie électronique. Au premier semestre 2019, Worldline, leader européen des services de paiement et de transactions, a déjà traité plus d’1 milliard de paiements électroniques, soit une augmentation de 12 % par rapport à la même période en 2018. Concernant les achats en ligne, les chiffres sont éloquents : le nombre de transactions en ligne a augmenté cette année de 30 % pour atteindre 105 millions de paiements électroniques au premier semestre[1], contre 80 millions l’an dernier sur la même période. Au-delà du commerce électronique, les innovations du secteur ont la cote auprès du grand public, avec l’adoption des paiements sans contact et le paiement électronique d’achats de petits montants.

Record des transactions électroniques en cette veille de fête des Mères

Bruxelles, le 12 mai 2019 - Worldline, [Euronext : WLN], leader européen dans le secteur des paiements et services transactionnels, a traité un nombre record de 9,1 millions de transactions électroniques le samedi 11 mai, veille de la fête des Mères. Par rapport à la même période l’année dernière, l’entreprise a enregistré une augmentation de 11 % de paiements électroniques. Le nombre de paiements grimpe généralement la veille de la fête des Mères, mais le succès de cette année est principalement dû au premier Digital Payment Day, une initiative de Febelfin en collaboration avec Bancontact Payconiq Company, MasterCard, Visa, Worldline, Unizo, UCM, Comeos, NSZ, SDZ, CCV et Europabank, qui encourage les paiements électroniques en Belgique. Karel van Eetvelt, CEO de Febelfin, a sillonné le pays hier pour mettre personnellement à l’honneur les commerçants qui autorisent les paiements électroniques.

89 % des Belges préfèrent payer par voie digitale, bien que la majorité des paiements soient encore effectués en espèces

Bruxelles, 23 avril 2019 – Alors que 63 % des paiements sont encore effectués en espèces dans notre pays, pas moins de 89 % des Belges leur préfèrent une solution de paiement digitale. C'est ce qui ressort d'une enquête réalisée par iVOX pour Febelfin, la Fédération belge du secteur financier. Pour plus de la moitié des Belges, l'impossibilité récurrente de payer par carte ou avec un smartphone est la raison principale des paiements en liquide. Une situation qui a tendance à en contrarier plus d’un.

Le paiement sans contact : la tendance de 2018

Bruxelles, le 6 décembre 2018. Le paiement sans contact est LA tendance 2018. Telle est la conclusion tirée par Worldline (Euronext : WLN), leader européen dans le secteur des paiements et services transactionnels, au regard des chiffres relatifs aux transactions électroniques. Et pour cause : le nombre de paiements sans contact a été plus que multiplié par sept en un an. En octobre 2017, le Belge a payé près de 600.000 fois sans contact avec sa carte Bancontact ou son smartphone ; en octobre 2018, on a dénombré plus de 4 millions de paiements sans contact. À l’approche des fêtes de fin d’année, Worldline et les principaux schémas de paiement ont décidé d’encourager le consommateur à régler ses achats de Noël sans contact. C’est rapide, simple et sûr.

Black Friday : nouveau record avec 8,2 millions de transactions électroniques

Bruxelles, le 26 novembre 2018 – Le Black Friday a réalisé cette année un nouveau record. Worldline, leader européen dans le secteur des paiements et services transactionnels, a enregistré 8,2 millions de transactions électroniques, soit une hausse de 15 % par rapport à un vendredi normal (16/11) et de 12 % par rapport au même événement l’année dernière. L’effet du Black Friday est bien évidemment clairement visible dans l’e-commerce, avec une hausse de 65 % de transactions par rapport au vendredi qui précédait.

Central Bank of Aruba contracts equensWorldline to bring Instant Payments to the island

Utrecht, 12 June 2018 - The Central Bank of Aruba (CBA) contracted equensWorldline SE, a subsidiary of Worldline [Euronext: WLN], the European leader in the payments and transactional services industry, to provide a new central infrastructure replacing the current CBA clearing & settlement system. With the implementation of the new Instant Payments CSM, Aruba will leapfrog to Instant Payments by completely switching from traditional payment processing to the new Instant Payments infrastructure per January 2019. As a result, as of 2019, all interbank payments in Aruban florin initiated on Aruba will be instantly processed, 24/7/365. The contract with equensWorldline will initially be for a period of five years.
