Worldline has been once again rewarded with the Gold level from EcoVadis for its outstanding extra-financial performance, thus confirming the company’s leadership in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Bezons, September 22 2017, Worldline receives for the second year in a row the Gold recognition level from EcoVadis, an independent extra-financial rating agency, for its strong CSR performance and its long-term commitment to sustainable development.

With an overall score of 76/100, Worldline has made great progress compared to the previous year (+12 points) and outperforms its 10-points increase target on the responsible supply chain assessment by EcoVadis. With this impressive result, Worldline joins the very restricted TOP 1% of the best sustainable companies assessed by EcoVadis in all categories.

Major progress has been made in the environment and fair business practices related topics.

Worldline has recorded a 30% improvement of its environmental performance according to the EcoVadis standards, positioning the company among the TOP 2% of the suppliers assessed by EcoVadis in the category Data processing, hosting and related activities; web portals. This significant progression reflects the successful environmental strategy implemented by Worldline, especially through its CSR long term ambition “TRUST 2020” in which the company committed to neutralize all the carbon emissions related to its activities by 2020. In 2016, Worldline has already offset all the CO2 emissions of its payment terminals lifecycle and of its data centers. Worldline has also reported a solid 50% increase of its score regarding its fair business practices, ranking the company in the TOP 1% of the best performing companies assessed by EcoVadis in the category Data processing, hosting and related activities; web portals. This demonstrates Worldline’s commitment to act as a role model in terms of integrity and ethics and to promote fair and sustainable business practices throughout its value chain. This high standard of excellence is a key factor of success for Worldline’s CSR long-term ambition “TRUST 2020: Trust at the heart of everything we do”.

This new recognition and this outstanding progression are due to the actions that have been undertaken by Worldline as part of its “TRUST 2020” transformation program that mobilizes the entire company and reinforce Worldline’s credibility in its commitment to create sustainable value for all of its stakeholders.

Sébastien Mandron, Worldline Corporate Social Responsibility Officer, stated: “We are particularly proud to report a 12 points improvement of our overall score on the assessment of our extra-financial performance by EcoVadis. With this outstanding progression for our third assessment, we join the very restricted circle of the 1% best sustainable companies. This reflects the momentum of continuous progress in which Worldline is engaged through the launching of its CSR long-term program “TRUST 2020” in 2015. Our “TRUST 2020” program represents a catalyst for transformation internally that enabled us to perform this acceleration and encourages us to drive our progress further in order to achieve our ambitious objectives by 2020.”
